"Compassionate care"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Early Pregnancy Clinic

(as a service user),

I had an appointment today at the early pregnancy unit at the Ulster hospital. I was first brought in by Brooke, nursing student, and appointment led by Staff nurse, Suzie. Unfortunately, my appointment was in relation to a silent miscarriage, but I was made to feel reassured and allowed to feel in control of my situation.

Suzie showed a lot of compassion and explained everything in a clear manner and give us time to ask questions to ensure we made the right decision for us. She reassured me that miscarriages are common and it was nothing we had done wrong whilst also recognising the emotional impact it has and validating our feelings.

Dear Emzcos

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Really great to hear how well Brooke and Suzie at Early Pregnancy Clinic have looked after you professionally and compassionately at such an important time in your life.

Your kind words have been shared to Brooke, Suzie and the team who greatly appreciate your positive feedback.

It is very kind of you to show your appreciation of others at a time when your own welfare and feelings are paramount.

I wish you the best in every way for the future.

Best wishes

Conor
