"Botox treatment in my bladder"

About: County Hospital Louth / Urology

(as the patient),

I went to Louth hospital on Tuesday and had Botox treatment in my bladder, it has always been a bit painful but nothing that you can’t put up with. On this occasion although the doctor and nurses were as lovely as usual they had new needles, they did say they were trying to get the old ones back. You felt everything, it was like torture, the pain was horrendous and left me crying. I have to have this procedure done every 5-6 months and I am having nightmares already and although I need it done I am so scared.

Dear neptunesm36

Thank you for providing feedback on your last visit to Endsocopy and I am sorry to hear that you suffered a bad experience. We have looked into the issues with the equipment and the company have promised to deliver the original needles.

I hope that you feel reassured that on your next visit, your experience will be much more comfortable.

Kind Regards

Clare
