"Gold standard cardiac care"

About: Cardiology / Catheter Laboratory (Cath Lab) Cardiology / Ward 1 - Cardiology Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

My husband had a heart attack at home. We called for an ambulance which arrived within 15 mins and he received swift care from the paramedics. His ECG was sent electronically to Ninewells and he was blue lighted straight to Ninewells cardiac catheterisation lab where he had stents inserted. He was transferred to coronary care unit and then to ward 1.

I would like to commend all teams on the gold standard care he received by them all. In particular paramedic Veronica, CN Gemma in CCU, Cath lab SN Stacey and SN Alisa in wd 1. All of these professionals went over and above in my opinion to care for both my husband and I and take time to explain exactly what had happened and reassure both of us.

Ward 1 staff were all so lovely and caring towards all patients and I got the sense they are a great team who were cheerful, welcoming and helpful and a great example to their student nurses.

1st class care and we both can’t thank these teams enough
