"Worst service I've had"

About: Adult Mental Health Community / Broxtowe & Hucknall Local Mental Health Team (LMHT)

(as the patient),

Broxtowe and Hucknall local mental health team has been the worst experience I've ever had with a mental health service. They messed me around, wasted my time, offered me services that they don't even do, made my mental health worse overall, contributed to my suicide attempt.  I found the staff to be rude, uncaring and dismissive of anything that I said and overall after being with them for many months I didn't receive any therapy, help or treatment. I was discharged despite telling them that I wasn't able to cope and that this was my last option.

I wish I could say something good but at every step of the way they managed to not even do the most basic things. Communication needs to be better, don't offer things that you don't actually provide and don't be condescending when talking with patients.

I generally felt like no one cared about what I said or my well-being, a lot of time has been wasted and I'm worse off now. I issued complaints about the service which were ignored so I don't see the value in giving anything constructive as they clearly don't want to hear it.

Thanks for nothing

Update posted by Nugget98 (the patient)

This service has now discharged me, as they had nothing to offer me, despite me telling them I have nowhere else to go and no more options left. They left me on my own with no support in place and now I don't know what to do with myself.

What do I do when nothing helps and there's nothing else to try? I can't cope and I can't live like this and if there's nothing that can help why should I continue living?
