Patient in ward 21, most staff friendly, ward exceptionally busy. Improvement can be made in:
- Communication- staff didn't know I had already been at theatre and didn't know if I had blood thinners.
-asked for review of analgesia sent home with same no discussion.
-no pillow slips, 3 hours later still no pillow slips, can't get any pillows to get more comfy.
-sent home with very short notice with no stair practice. 20 stairs from front of house to bed. Physio coming back next day as I have to be mobile BUT non weight bearing but discharged at 5:00pm that night. Ended up stuck upstairs in my home unable to get to the toilet. I did not realise how difficult stairs would be.
Communication really needs to be addressed.
