Having had a negative experience at the EPAS service - following an error  my wife who had only returned home from this service then had to re-attend immediately to give more bloods or her procedure scheduled at Stobhill couldn't take place.

Thankfully, the staff and treatment received at Stobhill Hospital is on another level to the negativity and poor practice we experienced within the EPAS service.

Stobhill staff couldn't have been nicer and the consultant was fantastic having real empathy and understanding for the trauma my wife has been through on 3 occasions now. For there to be such a contrast between patient care highlights real concerns for us about the culture in EPAS.

You phone Stobhill you get an answer by someone who will listen to you and give advice and support.  If you phone the EPAS service you get a prompt to leave a voicemail message, which is not personal and for women who are going through the trauma of miscarriage, I can only imagine how frustrating and anxiety provoking this is.

Stobhill staff take a bow as you have re-installed faith in the NHS.

Dear xraybz54

I would like to thank you for sharing your positive experience and care you received at Stobhill.

I would reassure you that we endeavour to provide a high standard of empathetic care to women who have suffered a pregnancy loss.

I am disappointed to learn that during this emotional time you experienced such negativity. I would be keen to explore and investigate your concerns.

Please contact me either by phone or email to discuss further.

Dear xraybz54

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for sharing your feedback during what must be a difficult time. I will be sure to let the Clinic F staff know that you appreciated the level of care and communication from the service.

I am disappointed to that you feel your EPAS experience was a negative one - if you wish to get in touch I can ask a colleague to speak to you about your concerns.

If you need support the Miscarriage Association has an excellent website:
