"Awful experience"

About: Gartnavel General Hospital / ENT

(as the patient),

The member of staff I saw, I found to be patronising, impatient, impersonal practitioner with no bedside manners. Not only were they rude to myself, a patient, but seemed to be rude to other nurses and staff too.

I left the clinic with a diminished sense of hope regarding my condition, having been dismissed and referred to other clinics without any information, timescales, or guidance as to what I could do to cope in the meantime. I am appalled that such apparent apathy is allowed in this profession and worse yet, while seeing and treating patients.

Dear Anony17

It is disappointing to read about your experience at the Clinic, and please accept my apologies. This is not the standard of care that we strive to deliver and this has been brought to the attention of the Senior Management Team. As Care Opinion is anonymous, if you would like to discuss this further can you please contact our Complaints Team at complaints@ggc.scot.nhs.uk

Thank you

Nicole
