"The most amazing team looking after her"

About: Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Clark Clinic

(as a parent/guardian),

Our daughter was admitted onto Clark Clinic after being sick around 3 months ago. She then spent 3 plus months in Clark Clinic with cardiac surgery in Dublin. Our daughter had the most amazing team looking after her, between the doctors, health care assistants and some nurses. There were silly mistakes some nurses made when our daughter was an inpatient and we hope as a family they don’t happen to anyone else!

Particular members of staff became our family for those months, supported us through daughter waiting for surgery. In particular Collette and Christine. Collette treated us as parents with the utmost care and respect. She didn’t forget that we were in a terrible situation and never forgot that we were also going through turmoil watching our daughter getting sicker and sicker before her surgery.

Clark Clinic became home to us and whilst we definitely didn’t love every minute there, we fully appreciated the work the staff done for our baby.
