"Totally had the patient at the centre of what they do"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Adult Congenital Services

(as a relative),

Sitting in SACCS waiting room at Golden Jubilee Hospital waiting on my other half and I can honestly say that all staff are just fab.

Every staff member I witnessed who had interaction with patients totally had the patient at the centre of what they do. Every patient greeted warmly , most staff appeared to know the patients, and if not quickly introduced themselves and asked how the patient was today.

In my opinion these behaviours go a long way to alleviate the anxiety and worry often experienced when attending hospital appointments.

I believe that people are quick to complain when they feel the service/treatment received is unacceptable, however maybe don’t think to offer compliments when they are often so deserved.
