"Put me completely at ease"

I would like to pass on a massive thank you to all the staff at the Regional Day Procedure Centre in Lagan Valley Hospital. I came in recently for REZUM treatment for an enlarged prostate and everyone I came in contact with was so caring, helpful and attentive. I was treated with the upmost dignity and respect throughout my entire visit.

I was quite anxious as my treatment was somewhat invasive but all the staff I met (nurses, anaesthetist, and consultant surgeon) put me completely at ease. Both the consultant and anaesthetist spoke to me afterwards which was also very thoughtful.

Throughout the day I was kept fully informed and everything was explained in simple understandable terms. For me, they made a very anxious experience straightforward and less daunting. Thank you so much to all the team

Unfortunately, I can’t remember all of their names but two members of staff were worthy of a special mention - firstly, student nurse Grainne in theatre, who epitomised all the qualities of a great nurse, kind, caring, knowledgeable, empathetic and compassionate. She was also a great communicator, (I could have talked to her all day). Secondly, nurse Mandy who admitted me and provided me with exceptional nursing care all day long until I was discharged. Thank you all so much.
