"First class care, all the staff in A&E were amazing."

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Coronary Care Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as the patient),

I became ill recently, my son phoned the emergency services and within the space of 90 minutes an ambulance had arrived, the paramedics had worked on me and I was in A&E. I was seen by Doctor Lena who provided me with first class care, actually all the staff in A&E were amazing. I was admitted to Coronary care by that evening and the next morning Doctor Lena came to visit me on the ward to make sure I was doing good.

This has been the 3rd time in as many years that I have been admitted to this hospital and every time the care has been outstanding. I sometimes hear negative comments about A&E, I have only good things to say, yes it is busy, but everyone is seen according to the severity of the illness. We have to stop complaining and have patience, these Doctors and Nurses are working extremely hard and they should be commended not abused.
