"A great asset to the mental health team"

About: Somerset NHS Foundation Trust / Adult community mental health

(as a service user),

As someone who has been in the mental health system on and off for 28 years I've seen my fair share of professionals and psychiatrists and I've struggled with every one because I didn't feel listened to.

However, the practitioner who I have been seeing for the past couple of months at The Bridge, Wells is fantastic. She takes the time to listen to me, she has a calming presence so it's easier to relax around her and she's a great asset to the mental health team. Her name is Geraldine. I want her to get the recognition she deserves. It's taken many years but I've finally found a mental health worker who doesn't just dismiss how I'm feeling and actively listens to me. Thank you.
