My husband recently had a stroke which resulted in him being cared for initially in MHDU at Victoria Hospital. While in MHDU he developed aspiration pneumonia. The staff were very caring and supportive to both my husband and myself. The pneumonia improved and he was transferred to ward 42 Victoria. The staff here were professional, caring and supportive.
He was later transferred to ward 7 at the queen Margaret to continue his rehabilitation. The support, care and encouragement he received from medical staff, nursing staff, OT, physio and speech therapy was excellent. He made good progress and is now home. We are both very grateful to all who were involved in his care. Especially the staff in ward 7 as this was the ward he was in the longest.
