About: New Victoria Hospital / Day surgery

(as a service user),

I recently attended Day Surgery for an operation by Mr Konterinos, ENT specialist.

I was impressed immediately by the department and the welcome from all staff. Following my admission in which my procedure and subsequent aftercare was explained I was made very comfortable and had a short wait prior to surgery.

The anaesthetic nurse SN Tarbert was friendly and helped by explaining the procedure in detail. She was kind and put my mind at ease! I was escorted to theatre where the theatre team including CN Beattie and Mr Konterinos were brilliant.

My aftercare and discharge advice by SN Gail was excellent. I would like to pass on my thanks to all those involved in my care from a well run unit ! A credit to the NHS and a fantastic service

Thank you for leaving our unit a Care Opinion feedback post. Feedback from patients is always warmly received by staff. The words you have used to describe the staff as welcoming, friendly and kind is the standard of care we aim for each and every day here in the Day surgery Unit. I am delighted to read that you experienced this as a patient and that you felt comfortable during your time spent with us.

I will ensure that your kind feedback is shared with all of Mr Kontorinis's team, but especially with Staff Nurses Tarbert, Gail and CN Beatie, all are excellent nurses and indeed a credit to our team.

Feedback from our patients certainly keeps the team striving to deliver the best care they can every day. Thank you.
