"Excellent care and heart surgery"

About: Borders General Hospital / Acute Assessment Unit Borders General Hospital / Cardiology Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiology & Coronary Care Unit Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiothoracic Surgery Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as other),

My husband woke up with chest pains around 5am.  Following dialling 999 paramedics arrived, assessed him and took him to Borders General Hospital.

He was admitted and received excellent care until he was transferred to Royal Infirmary Edinburgh three days later.  At the Royal he also received excellent care and had heart surgery.

We both feel his care at both very busy hospitals was extremely good.
