"I want to express appreciation for the excellent care."

About: Cardiology / Cardiac Physiology

(as a service user),

I went to the Cardiac Device Clinic at Ninewells for implantation of a loop recorder.

I want to express appreciation for the excellent care, which I could not fault in any way. Donna and her colleague Catherine were models of professionalism  whilst being friendly and reassuring.

Donna's pre-op explanation was clear and helpful, as was Catherine's post- procedure explanation and advice.

The procedure was 100% painless after insertion of the local anaesthetic. As a former surgeon I am well-placed to appreciate the gentle, accurate and swift operating by Donna. Had she been one of my trainees I would have scored her 10 out of 10 for this one.  Catherine's pleasantly distracting conversation during the procedure was spot-on.

The whole experience was trouble-free, reassuring and as near to pleasant as any such procedure can be. The question on your website is, what could we have done better? the answer is - nothing.
