I recently give birth in the Ulster Hospital and the staff were amazing and made sure I had a positive birth experience. My birth didn’t go to plan in that I ended up needing the labour ward rather the man home from home as I had planned. But between the staff in maternity and labour ward, they were all fantastic.
Unfortunately with the whirlwind of childbirth I didn’t catch everyone’s name. The student midwives were fantastic also and are going to make brilliant midwives - Hannah was involved in the delivery of my baby and was amazing and Annie looked after me so well the day after. Another midwife stayed with me and my husband between labour and before returning to maternity and took so much care to detail to ensure I had skin to skin band to give me a chance to breastfeed.
