"They were truly what makes the NHS so good"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

Just returned from ED, RAH after my dad has been admitted following suspected stroke. The care my dad received from the nursing and medical team was excellent. Yes it’s been a long day, been in ED from 9 this morning, and yes the system was clearly under pressure, but this did not affect the quality of care. From Esther our triage nurse who was so caring and kind, to Sean our ED Dr who was reassuring and left no stone unturned, to Orla the Student Nurse who ensured my dad was provided with a meal and who supported our family - they were truly what makes the NHS so good - teamwork to deliver person-centred care.  Thank you so much x

Dear Phil2070

Thank you for sharing your post on Care Opinion. Your words reflect what we aim to achieve in our ED against the demands you identify. I feel incredibly proud to respond on behalf of the whole team.

I will ensure that Esther, Sean and Orla get sight of your post. They will be chuffed.

Please wish your Dad well on behalf of our team and thank you again for taking the time to post.

Gerry
