My teenage daughter got injured in a football match and it turned out she ruptured her ACL. This ended (put on hold) her football career . She required an MRI, knee surgery, physiotherapy and then further Knee surgery.
My daughter was treated with dignity, respect and kindness on this journey by every member of the multi disciplinary team that she encountered .
Elaine (ENP) in ED spoke to my daughter at her level of understanding removing all anxiety and fear.
Mr Spencer - orthopaedic surgeon - is a delight. He offered reassuring words and took time to explain the procedures , recovery times , the expectations & the possible risks. We were so happy with the time he took in including my daughter in the whole process . She felt a great amount of trust , confidence and wholly reassured before, during and after all points of care .
We are very grateful to ED & Orthopaedic department to house an excellent team of clinical personnel who put the person in the heart of the process .
This journey and experience was only successful because of the staff who carried out their job in a caring and kind approach .
In challenging times I can only imagine how difficult it is to keep the standards so high , we are truly grateful . Thank you .
"Exceptional care"
