I’m extremely grateful for the recent experience & care I received at the endocrinology clinic. Dr Hunter was patient & listened to me carefully. I discussed problems I had accessing results over the course of my care, prior to seeing her. Therefore Dr Hunter explained that she would send me the result of a test I’d had, directly to me.
I had mentioned the new system, Encompass, during my consultation with her, asking if I could access the result via this system. I was delighted to see that Dr Hunter’s letter appeared here via the Mycare app, so I could access it quickly.
Two years previously, I’d had a poor experience in the same location, which I mentioned to Dr Hunter. Also previously, I’d been advised retrospectively in notes, from a meeting, that my appointment then should have been with a consultant. Therefore, at this appointment I was, kindly, given the opportunity to speak to a consultant gynaecologist. Following this I received a detailed summary from both Dr Hunter & Dr McManus. I was relieved to see that my input had been accurately recorded. Additionally, in the letter regarding a test result, Dr Hunter explains that has she sought the opinion of a consultant radiologist.
Overall this has been a beyond distressing & prolonged experience, but the high standard of care I received here has helped me cope & come to terms with the situation.
