"Such a wonderful team of midwives"

I went to South Tyrone Hospital for an appointment with the midwives, which was my booking appointment. This involved a scan and a discussion with a midwife about my medical history. I was very nervous about the appointment, especially because this pregnancy came as a surprise since I have a 5-month-old baby at home. However, my worries were quickly eased when I met the midwives. They were incredibly reassuring and supportive, offering me nothing but congratulations without any judgment. It was lovely to see a familiar face in Heather to begin with. 

I must give special recognition to Deidre. I first met her towards the end of my previous pregnancy, and her care during a challenging time left a lasting impact on me. I believe that people's true kindness shines through when you are most vulnerable.

I was fortunate enough to have Deidre at my booking appointment, and once again, she was simply amazing. Her compassion and quality of care are truly exceptional. She listened to my concerns, helped me put things into perspective, and by the end of the appointment, I felt happy and excited about my situation instead of anxious. I am so thankful for her care and her commitment to her profession. 

I am immensely grateful to be receiving care from such a wonderful team of midwives. They are simply the very best.
