"Excellent diabetic care"

About: Antrim/Ballymena / Diabetes Specialist Nurse

(as a service user),

I got diagnosed last April with type one diabetes and having Janine as my specialist diabetic nurse has made my journey so much easier. She has always given me good advice and support and I know I can call her anytime. I am really grateful to have such an efficient and pleasant nurse.

My name is Natalie McLaughlin, Clinical Services Manager for Diabetes in the Northern Trust.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to post your kind and uplifting feedback.

I am sure when you were initially informed of your diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes, you felt anxious and worried, as diabetes is a life long condition. However, it is reassuring for you, and for us as a Trust to have it recognized by patients that our Diabetes Nurse Specialists show empathy, spend time engaging with patients, and really go over and above to ensure patients are on the correct pathway so they can be empowered to manage their diabetes.

For patients it is also reassuring to know they have access to expert advice and support when needed.

Janine will be very grateful for this feedback.

Best wishes

Natalie
