"Psychological support"

About: Borders Community Services / Wellbeing Service

(as the patient),

I was referred to this service with perceived severe anxiety and severe depression. Despite being pretty self-aware and someone who strives to overcome issues, I hit a significant low in April.

My referral to Genevieve took a couple of months but our meeting altered my way of thinking significantly and successfully. I worked hard and was open to new practices that I would never have previously considered, like using drama to work through specific issues!

Even as I age, the benefits of accepting change in my life are significant and I’m no longer afraid of it. I continue to “work at” my psychological health - I think I will always have to but my experience with Genevieve has demonstrated that need-not be a chore. Mindfulness is part of my life now and the whole therapy experience is one I will be forever grateful for.

Thank you Genevieve.

Dear CoopTheLoop

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback on Care Opinion. We value all the feedback we receive.

I am so pleased to read that you have benefitted from your appointments with Genevieve and that you no longer see looking after your mental health as a 'chore'.

I wish you all the very best for the future and will certainly pass these lovely words on to Genevieve.

Thanks again,

Jenny
