"Incorrect reporting used to justify lack of care and action"

Totally let down. I fainted at work had a low pulse.  Ambulance was great, a&e ok. Went from a&e to cardiac short stay where problems started.

Really uninterested. Had previously been told my cardiac loop recorder was faulty and this was confirmed when a technician couldn’t get it to respond after a long attempt. Told that the wards monitoring confirmed low pulse rate said they didn’t feel had enough evidence to treat me which I thought was odd, don’t they trust own observations. Dr said he wanted to put in a new loop recorder but as this was not possible until after the weekend - I should go home and have this done as an outpatient next week.

I waited for discharge  letter for hours and eventually agreed with nurse this could be sent on as the doctor was involved in an emergency. Weeks later no loop recorder and most worrying the discharge report sent to my gp says I discharged myself against advice and refused treatment. Both are untrue. This is to my detriment. Phoned the ward, who said they will get back to me. Appears I will remain untreated I continue to have a low pulse and be unsteady and prone to falls.

So unwell and incorrect reporting used to justify lack of care and action.

Dear Nobody in hospitals eyes

I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience in our cardiology ward. If you would like to provide me with your full name and date of birth I can look into this matter further for you.

Regards
