Bone scan at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee (Nuclear Medicine).
All staff professional, courteous and upbeat - very well done.
Scan was done very efficiently as was the prior injection.
One major problem though with Ninewells - Lack of parking.
The last thing ill patients need is stress caused by parking problems.
I received confirmation of prostate cancer in mid August 2024. Since then I was extremely worried. We arrived at Ninewells at half an hour before my appointment - plenty of time we thought - Not so! Not one space available in any car park on double yellow lines, accepting that I would probably get a parking ticket and fine - by this stage, I simply didn't care.
I managed to get to nuclear medicine bang on the appointment time 1-30pm. I told the nurse about the parking problem. She was very sympathetic but said that it is commonplace.
This situation is a disgrace, unacceptable and has to be resolved as a matter of priority.
I am lucky that I am mobile etc - I'm not sure how a frail person would cope in these circumstances.
Thank you for reading this.
