"Assistant went above and beyond"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 )

(as the patient),

I attended oncology orthopaedics in mid Sept for a post op follow up with the consultant and wound review.

I was seen by Audrey a health care assistant who checked my wound and removed my staples.

I was really nervous getting the staples removed, however Audrey was amazing and kept talking to me and asking question about my little boy and keeping my mind distracted. Before I knew it, all staples were removed and barely felt anything.

The care and compassion I recieved from Audrey was fantastic.

With myself and husband both working in the NHS we know the pressures that the staff are under and how challenging jobs and stressful jobs can be.

We felt Audrey went above and beyond and ensured I recieved the best care.

Thank you very much.

Dear jazzqy77,

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your positive feedback.

I am so glad to hear that you had a positive experience whilst visiting the Orthopaedic Outpatient Department.

I will share your feedback to Audrey herself, she will be delighted to hear about the difference she made in your journey.

I hope you are recovering well.

Many thanks,

Erin
