(as the patient),

I was assigned Kerry as my midwife, which I am so fortunate for. Both me and my husband built up a great relationship with her, and she was a fantastic support to us throughout our pregnancy - we miss her dearly!

I was very fortunate to be able to deliver at Dr Grays, where the midwives couldn’t do enough for me. Diane originally saw me and helped me through my labour and it was the fantastic Natasha that delivered our gorgeous baby boy. After delivery, all the midwives on the ward couldn’t do enough for me, especially with me being a first-time mum and asking lots of questions! Again, me and my husband felt we built up a great relationship with everyone on the ward.

As this was my first baby and my first experience, it was a fantastic one and I think the midwives made this experience what it was.

Congratulations on the birth of your first baby, it is wonderful to hear that you had such a positive experience of your maternity care.

It sounds like the continuity you received in the community from your midwife Kerry offered you the support you required, and that you were equally well supported when you came in to the ward to give birth to your baby.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback, I will ensure it is seen by all staff, especially the midwives you have mentioned by name.
