"I left feeling reassured and confident"

About: Shankill Wellbeing and Treatment Centre / Low Vision and Contact Lens Clinic

(as a service user),

I was at the contact lens clinic at the Shankill Centre in Belfast to get my contact lens for keratoconus.

I was seen by Nurse Jackie who showed me how to put the lens in and out and how to clean and care for it. She was really lovely - very friendly, patient, reassuring and helpful. She made the whole experience very easy and straightforward.

I was also seen by optometrist Deirdre. She too couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. She took her time to explain everything and answer my questions, even though it was very clear that the department was extremely busy. I left the Shankhill Centre feeling reassured and confident.

Thank you both for your help and kindness.

Dear Molly Maya,

thank you for taking the time to post a response on your experience in the clinic.

As a team we appreciate all patient feedback and it is reassuring that you felt happy and confident with the care and treatment you received.

I will pass on your comments to the staff members involved.

Once again thank you for the kind comments.

Kind regards
