"From the moment I stepped onto the ward I felt safe"

About: Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health) / Bronte Ward

(as a service user),

I was admitted to Brontë ward after my mental health took a massive dip. I seen no way out so tried to end my life.

From the moment my sister accompanied me on to the ward I felt safe and believed I had hope and wanted to get better for my families sake.

Now I'm back to work and back on my feet and I couldn’t have done it without the treatment I received in Bronte.

All the nurses doctors HCAs and even domestic staff are fantastic.

Special mention to nurses Donna, Natalie, Diana and HCA Terri and Kelly who always listened just when I needed a listening ear and supported me by keeping my busy mind distracted from my thoughts.

Thank you everyone
