"A very mixed experience"

About: The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Assisted Conception Services

(as a service user),

I have been attending the fertility service in GGC for 6 months now and I've had a very mixed experience of the service. Unfortunately more negative than positive.

They will provide the service with blood tests, medication and procedures. However they do not provide consistent attention to your mental wellbeing due to not meeting the same staff twice, taking up to 2 days to get an answer on the phone at times, not being informed of what's happening unless need to know, and not providing care with much empathy or compassion.

I know NHS services are stretched but as a patient in a very vulnerable position I do not feel that I am being treated as a person but rather as a collection of ovaries and blood tests.
