"The Amazing Woman’s Health Team"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Oh my goodness, what a team!

I had a procedure today , performed by Sarita, who was just totally brilliant .

I must mention Helen the Health Care Assistant (HCA) who was quite frankly amazing .

She was the difference between the experience being really invasive / painful and everything else you imagine when you are in the Women's Health area of the hospital and at times it being quite funny (that was the gas and air thank you very much!)

She knew exactly how to be and what to say at every point of the process. She has been in the job for years and boy did it show. My daughter is a student nurse and works as a HCA and I will be sure to let her know how Helen made me feel throughout.

This whole process, from seeing my GP on Monday , to coming in to the hospital on Tuesday, to having the procedure on a Saturday has been nothing short of brilliant! And I will now be all ready for my holiday in a week. Thank you NHS .
