About: Glen O'Dee Hospital / Old Age Psychiatry

(as a relative),

My Mum was admitted to Glen o Dee Hospital in Banchory for assessment for long term care.

The staff were so caring to my Mum and really tried to find out as much as they could about her, which helped her feel more comfortable and relaxed as I think she felt heard and understood. They all treated her with kindness and respect, adapting to her changing needs and circumstances.

We felt really supported as a family through a difficult time as we tried to navigate our way around what was the safest and most appropriate way forward for my Mum. The blend of a very efficient and caring medical environment with a homely and friendly atmosphere was all down to the culture of the staff. 

I will forever be so grateful to the staff of Glen o Dee for their professionalism and also for their dedication that went far beyond that.
