We arrived early as requested my daughter was very nervous, as she was having a GA, she was having septorhinoplasty.
The reception staff were very welcoming, then we were taken through with one on the student nurses that ran through the day and took my daughter obs, again she was so nice kept asking how my daughter was feeling! and very reassuring, then we met the anesthetist who was very informative.
Then we met another one who was very funny! then our surgeon Mr William's spoke us through the procedure what to expect and not to expect again very reassuring, my daughter was taking to theatre and i waited in the discharge lounge where the CSW made me a cuppa and offered me something to eat, which they had no need to but did anyway,
The nurses kept checking on me again above and beyond a nurse called Donna was fabulous, let me know where my daughter was at each stage, nothing was forced just so helpful, when we were able to leave at around 17:45 i actually think the entire department checked in on me and i wasn't the patient! her operation was successful and again before she left the department the surgeon checked in on her, i wasn't there and she said i was told to wear a cap and big sunglasses and rock it like a movie star! which we have a laugh at.
To all the day of surgery, and the theatre team that took care of my daughter i can not thank you all enough,
It was a stressful day however you took that away with your kindness and caring nature in one of the busiest demanding departments.
