"Hawthorns Adult Centre"

About: Hawthorns Adult Centre

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Can be noisy sometimes I don't like it, it hurts my ear.

I go to focus group. I speak to Thomas if I need to, if I have any problems.  On a Fridays I come to Hawthorns to have lunch with my girlfriend.  I'm engaged.  Some days I have good days sometimes not so good.

On Mondays we go for a walk, on Tuesdays we go to football or basketball.  I find it hard to get ready in the morning.

I went out on the train to Portrush, we went for a walk at the harbour.  It is amazing all the houses are different colours.  I went on the ghost train with my girlfriend, I was looking after her, she wouldn't stop laughing the whole time.  I was happy all the time. My girlfriend protects me and would do anything for me.

Thank you for you for taking the time to share your story.

It is lovely to read about your experience attending Focus and Hawthorns Adult Centre and all of the activities and outings that you have participated in. I'm sorry if you have experienced a noisy environment at times, this sometimes happens when there is a group of people getting together - please continue to speak to a member of staff if you are having any problems.

Congratulations on your engagement - your girlfriend sounds like a very special person.

I will share your story with the staff member you have specifically mentioned and he will then also share this with his team of staff.

Kind regards

Helen
