"Went out of their way to give me the care I needed"

About: Continuity of Midwifery Carer Service / Sapphire Team Daisy Hill Hospital / Maternity care Maternity care / Delivery suite / MLU Maternity care / Maternity Ward

(as the patient),

I was having a lot of sickness and in a lot pain at the third trimester of pregnancy. This was my first baby, I had a lovely team of Midwifes who took their time to give me advice and kept in contact with me throughout my pregnancy.

I had one midwife Elaine who said if anything I needed to ask, I could contact her about. She made me feel reassured as I was nervous and anxious being pregnant with being sick alot, in the third trimester which the whooping cough and measles going round. I was afraid to be out and about in public with catching anything and putting risk to my unborn baby.

I would highly recommend the Continuity of Midwifery Carer Service - Sapphire Team. (Elaine, Helena, Grace, Rachel and Lydia were amazing with their service they give me while I was in maternity ward in Daisyhill.

Also the service I was given in the delivery suite from the day I was induce to the day I had my baby and the day I was discharged from the maternity ward. I was well looked after and was put in a ward with my own room so I could get some rest. A member of staff who made this happen for me couldn't have done enough for me. They went out of their way to give me the care I needed after the emergency caesarean I had with being over my due date by 9 days.
