"The team were so attentive"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Endoscopy Unit

(as a service user),

I was red flagged to Dr Convey and as a breast cancer survivor I was very worried that cancer had returned. Dr Convey telephoned me to reassure me that my symptoms did not resemble cancer. He then referred me for a colonoscopy, which I had yesterday.

I was extremely anxious about this procedure. When I arrived the team were so attentive, they made me feel so reassured and relaxed before during and after the procedure. Everyone who I was in contact with were so kind and I felt totally respected. Dr Spence took time to introduce himself and shook my hand as I entered the procedure room. This was really personable as being a patient can make you vulnerable.

I can’t thank this whole team enough for their care and attentiveness yesterday.

You are a wonderful bunch of people.

Hi Slideky85,

Thank you so much for taking the time to send us this amazing feedback.

By the sounds of it you have been through a lot lately, and I am so glad my team were able to help you feel reassured and relaxed on the day of your procedure.

I will ensure your positive words are shared with all the team including Dr Spence.

I hope you are keeping well.

Best wishes

Jemma
