My Dr recently got me lifted to Ninewells Hospital as a blister on my left foot had become necrotic, leading to a below the knee amputation
The leg was amputated and 7 days later I was transferred to Glenrothes hospital, fife. That transfer probably saved my life as on the first night I was rushed to the Victoria hospital with a huge build of fluid around the cardial sack
The next day I was returned back to Glenrothes where I continued my rehab. This hospital and staff have went above and beyond with there help and care - from the senior staff nurse doing daily check in with all the patients, to the nurses who go above and beyond, especially a nurse called Chloe who took my washing home and got some shopping for me, to all the auxiliary staff who helped and cared for everyone no matter how grumpy we are on that day, to the physios and occupational people who do their best to assist and get you to where you need to be.
I can highly commend the staff for all there care and kindness, Glenrothes ward 2.
