I was recently referred to the Endoscopy Department to have an endoscopy. I was very nervous and apprehensive about this procedure. My blood pressure was high but did eventually manage to come down to an acceptable level thanks to the reassurance and help from the staff. Everyone I encountered on the day went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and their kindness was gratefully appreciated. Sorry I couldn't name them all.
The procedure itself was explained thoroughly and carried out efficiently by Mrs Kerr and Staff Nurse Laura. I took the anaesthetic which I was glad I did. I woke up covered with a heated blanket and then got a lovely sandwich and a cup of tea
All the staff I encountered could not have been nicer. They are a credit to the NHS.
"Their kindness was gratefully appreciated"
