I have been suffering with anxiety and depression and flashbacks for a number of years after a bad rta and have been now diagnosed with severe PTSD. I was made aware of CMP by a lady who works in the benefit office and who done a referral for me as I was too nervous to do it myself
Inside 2 days I got a phone call from a lovely lady called Kathryn. She made me feel so at ease and I felt that I had known her already and that I was talking to a friend.
We do phone calls once a week and they benefit me greatly, without these calls I know myself I would be in a dark place reliving things I don't want to. Kathryn has helped me with everything that was haunting me in my day to day life and without her I wouldn't be on the great path I am now.
If I had of known of CMP and that you can refer yourself I would have done it years ago instead of just being on a waiting list for someone to help me, feeling like I'd been forgotten about.
Mental health is an awful illness but with people like Kathryn and the CMP team it does get so much better. If you or anyone you know is struggling please get in touch, make that first move. I am so glad I did and I'm on my road to recovery. I'm living not just existing .
