"Two week referral and appointment for assessment"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

My GP referred me for a small post-menopausal vaginal bleed. I was seen within 2 weeks by Mr Clark in outpatients.

I was very nervous, because I thought I was taking an appointment unjustifiably (it was a very small amount of blood loss), and because I thought examination would be very uncomfortable.

I did not have to wait to be seen, and the staff helping me were very reassuring and kind.
