"Surgeon/doctor couldn’t see me out door quick enough"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I phoned NHS 111 who were extremely helpful, also the nurse in a&e who tested my urine and blood pressure. But once it went to doctor, they spent less than 5 mins with me, telling me I had IBS and gave some paracetamol and sent me on my way. I had been waiting for hours. I’ve had IBS pain for many years and never caused this. I felt really disregarded as still stuck with the pain and now it's getting worse not better. I feel care should be when you’re listened to and not rushed. Seeing other peoples experiences I feel a scan should’ve been offered considering this year I had a blocked bile duct and nearly died. I know my own body and know something isn’t right. Also told me they couldn’t rule out pancreatitis and told me to go back to GP.
