My 13 year old daughter was sent to the paediatric A&E at Prince Charles Hopsital Merthyr by ambulance as she had a seizure that lasted 6 minutes and wasn't her usual one. We were taken in and seen by a lovely nurse who done all her checks and then had the hand over from the lovely paramedics, we were then sent to a waiting room, and we only waited around 5-10 minutes to then be seen by a lovely male nurse who asked what happened, then a lovely woman who came to do an ECG. We then waited to be taking up to the paediatric ward to see the dr.
We had to wait about an hour half but the nurses in A&E kept checking on us, when arriving at the ward we were seen by a lovely nurse who asked questions again, then another lovely nurse who done her observations and weight, we then had a bit of a wait to see the dr, which is understandable, but once seen they were thorough and asked question, and said they needed to up her medication and let us home, as she didn't have any more seizures (she was diagnosed in 2019) and will write to the paediatrician who we are under.
All the staff we seen were absolutely fantastic and always lovely to talk to.
