I went into Heavitree Hospital, Exeter for a procedure (fluoroscan guided steroid injection) when we had snow. The consultant (Mr Patel) was delayed. Due to poor driving conditions, he had to leave his car at the RD&E and walked the rest of the way.
Meantime, we were kept informed by the different nurses and the one assigned to me (Armit) ensured I was comfortable, hydrated and happy. She was warm, personable and professional & saw to it that any questions I had were promptly & thoroughly responded to.
When the consultant arrived he was calm, collected and again, very professional despite having fallen over in the snow twice himself. Such a kind & gentle man who completed my procedure adeptly, while both him and the nurses in theatre communicated all throughout.
As soon as I came out of theatre, Armit was there once again ensuring I was comfortable and providing a lovely cup of coffee. She provided me with all the aftercare advice I needed before ensuring I could get home safely. I arrived home feeling grateful and happy at what was a most fantastic experience.
Thank you to all concerned & especially Armit & of course, Mr Patel.
"A good experience"
