"Poor triage system "

About: Beacon Medical Group

I submitted an online consultation and requested an urgent call with the diabetic nurse as I have been experiencing high blood sugar levels and requested a blood test. The result of the triage was to make a telephone appointment over a month later. When my sugar levels further increased I submitted another online consultation and was just given the same appointment. When I spoke eventually with the nurse I was advised I should have been sent immediately for a blood test so that appropriate treatment could be provided and the triage system had failed my needs.
