"She has always been very understanding"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / No Wrong Door

(as a service user),

I’ve since been discharged from Amber & No Wrong Door Hampshire as of today and in my previous post a while ago, I explained context & things so I won’t repeat.

Since March/April of this year, I’ve reduced down from using up to 16 tablets a day to now 6 tablets a day. I’ve since been with No Wrong Door, Catch 22 and now Inclusion currently but Amber has kept in regular contact since I was referred to Catch 22 in August/September time while awaiting for CMHT.

Amber has helped me in so, so many ways: I’ve very recently moved into supported living thanks to her referral made earlier this year, I’m set to work with CMHT to improve my mental health and she has always been very understanding, very accomodating, very easy to talk to and she has gone above and beyond such as staying by me when it was initially meant to be brief intervention with her & No Wrong Door that has since lasted 8-9 months!

I’ll send her paragraphs upon paragraphs of my rambles and she always reads them and responds accordingly, she’s been genuinely incredible.

I fully believe if I hadn’t been assigned to her from Crisis Team earlier this year, I wouldn’t have made the progress I’ve done. Whenever I’ve had a question or a concern, she has always answered it or gone out of her way to the appropriate service/person to help me.

I’m really sad to be discharged from Amber because she’s been the catalyst and the starting factor for my drug recovery since she was the person to initiate contact with my GP to do the reduction plan and rectify GP & Pharmacy errors. But I know that because I’ve been discharged that means that things are in and destined to be better which is a good sign for me to acknowledge and build upon as I start work with CMHT.

I hope Amber knows that I will never forget the things she’s done for me and that I will try my absolute best to get substance free again like I was prior to codeine misuse.
