"Ysbyty Gwynedd A&E"

About: Ysbyty Gwynedd / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My husband was sent to A&E by his doctor yesterday with some concerning symptoms. After waiting in the waiting room with no food or sleep, he was finally seen by a doctor 15hours later (despite the board describing a 6 hour wait time). He is now back in the waiting room waiting for consultant and meds, we're now on around 19-20 hours. During this time we have seen over 10 people leave and take their chances. Some might argue that in that case, they weren't bad enough to be at A&E but perhaps their home lives don't allow them to be gone for 24hours just to be dismissed after 15mins with a doctor. The system is so very broken.

Could you please advise who specifically it is I should make contact with (person or department)? As it stands, my husband has had to return to A&E as he is still in agony and his face has dropped and no-one seems to understand. I appreciate that there will be people worse off and believe me I count my blessings for that but we are now both off work due to his condition and we can't continue like this without answers.

Thank you ever so much for your response though.
