Was attending a spinal mri scan recently, was extremely nervous as I am claustrophobic. Still had nightmares from the last scan I got few years ago … but was willing to give it a try .. had brought my eyemask with me  to use when going into the machine.

I want to praise the staff at the mri dept at the Golden Jubilee. I didn’t catch everyone's names, just the one, Julie, but the nurses were on the last appt. From the moment I was shown through there was a warm welcome. I explained how nervous I was and the male nurse could not be more comforting. From there I met the other three staff that were there too , who were also so understanding and comforting towards my nervousness...held my hand all the way.

I managed to get through the scan for a bit but had too stop as was becoming too much. Felt apologetic to the staff who never once made me feel I was doing something wrong. They talked to me then persuaded me to have one last go to get some last pics … I managed it.

I just want to praise them all to the highest esteem .. I have never felt so looked after and understood with my problem. Even though it wasn’t the best day for me, they were all 110 percent …. A big big thank you 🙏 ….
