"Brilliant MOAT Group and Facilitators"

About: Somerset NHS Foundation Trust / Adult community mental health

(as a service user),

I was referred by my mental health worker to attend the 10 week MOAT group in Bridgwater.

I have quite severe M.E and Fibromyalgia as well as mental health problems and I was worried about attending every week due to my ill physical health.

Antoinette and Ola were so accommodating and compassionate and made me feel less guilty for having to miss 2 sessions due to my health.

Also, the group was quite intimate (only 4 of us) which really made me feel at ease and both Antoinette and Ola ran the group in a way that allowed everyone to have the time and space to express their own trauma, their own strength and their own truth.

Antoinette and Ola are both an asset to the mental health team and I'm quite sad that the group has ended, but I'm so happy that I went in filled with anxieties and I came out feeling like I have made friends and that I am more than my trauma.

Thank you.

Dear Annimouse, thank you so much for taking the time to send in this fantastic feedback! We really do appreciate people taking the time to do this and I'll make sure that the staff involved are made aware of your appreciation. It's great news that you have made friends from the group, and I sincerely hope that you continue to do well into the future.
