"The deteriorating mobility of my wife"

About: North Hampshire Community Therapy Team

(as a relative),

For the past three years my wife has suffered from falls in the house and garden and her mobility has become progressively challenging. In that time we have engaged three professional therapists in the hope that her condition might improve but until now not one of them has come up with any solution.

The most recent physiotherapist did not examine her but left online exercises which involved standing on one leg to exercise the other, my wife fell over and hit her head.

Our GP has made contact with Alton NHS Community Therapy Team and Raj made a home visit. He examined my wife and pointed out that her left thigh muscle was badly weakened either from joint replacement or her TIAs. It was obvious to us that he was right and that exercise on one leg had been a mistake.

It did seem that Raj had a better understanding of her situation than any of our previous contacts, his quiet and unassuming manner went well with us and we very much look forward to seeing him again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback. I was sorry to see that you had not had good previous experiences which must have been upsetting. It is good to hear that you have had a much better assessment and treatment from Raj and I will make sure he hears your comments,

Best wishes,

Emma
