My husband attended the optician yesterday morning as he could not see out of his right eye. She gave him a thorough examination and because she did this she made an immediate appointment with the ophthalmologist at Falkirk community hospital. Who again examined his eye and told him that was a clot in one of the arteries to the retina. She then referred him to the stroke clinic at Forth Valley Hospital. The doctor there agreed that he had a minor stroke. She gave him a prescription for this. At this time he was sent for an ultra sound dopla scan for carotid arteries & veins. He is also to go for MRI scan on Friday. We have been very satisfied with his treatment. Every person has been very pleasant & efficient. We have nothing but praise for our Scottish NHS.
"My story is about my husband."
